Pulling/Helping up teammates after they fall. Does it happen now more than in the 80s/90s?

Im outta late 84 (:flabbynsick:) so ive watched hoops since 1990 or so.....i dont recall teammates running to a fallen player, as often as they do now, to help a team member up off the floor. It's a saviour on the knees.

Now anytime a player falls they sit straight up, reach out 2 arms and there is 1 teammates per arm to LIFT them up.

Im not saying it didn't happen back in the day, but I remember players getting up themselves more and often they'd be on "all fours" (pause) at some point or in a downward dog in order to PUSH themselves back upright.

I'm not tweaking now am I?

I don't like when opponents help me up.

One time, I drove to the hoop and got knocked down as I went up for a layup. I was dazed and wasn't looking as I held my arm up for someone to help me up. When I saw it was an opponent that helped me up, I looked at him like:wtf: and I layed back on the ground, put my arm back up and said "help me up, squad"
