It wasn't a double cross tho and the rocks not that emotional
Rock and cena were doing the whole " shoot" thing and when you do that, things get said. just like triple caught feelings over one of rocks promos earlier in his career.

I'm sure cena felt a way about some of the things rock said in that outside promo as well.

Bottom line is rock is not God lol. He'said human like the rest of us.

The idea that Vince cena and rock got too get together and planned that they would exploit that his claim to fame (grade a promos) wasn't legit or off the top is ridiclous. that's a claim that can have a long lasting effect

MUch more realistic that rock threw some notes on his arm and cena just adlibbed it into the promo.

Stephanie said she wanted the crowd split 50/50 and have it be Team Edward vs Team Jacob. With that goal in mind, they needed 'wins' for Cena. (Crowd ended up 99-1 that night)

I liked Rock Punk feud over Rock Cena. But Rock Cena 1 had a better match. Rock Cena was a money maker but it was a drag (understandbly) since it was a years build. It didn't make a lot of sense. And Yes that includes the wrist notes. That wasn't real and I thought it was pretty obvious. WWE were trying to sway things in Cena favor. Rock acts for a living. That should have told you all right there. Plus that tied into their story for the following week. That it's not Rock out there it's Dwayne. That he lost a step. Some of y'all have a very narrow outlook on what really happened.

Cena pretty much confirmed this a few weeks ago when he basically said he was wrong on his end. So Rock pretty much won that all around. Rock knew what he was talking about all along.

Far as Rock Punk it was more serious and kayfabe. A feud over the title. There were brawls. There were insults. Pretty good story to back it up. Title involved. They didn't need to work shoot and all the other mess. And then they got creative with the rematch by adding a stipulation. Just felt like the matches could have been a little better. I think Rock enjoyed that portion more too as I remember he thanked Punk for lying down for him at The Rumble 2013.

Underrated programme and that promo between them is very underrated.
Its interesting people feel Punk won that when I think Rock also had some truths about Punk. The pipebomb didnt spark the revolution he claimed, though to be fair WWE didnt see the vision, still its good jabs in a worked promo

To be fair, that's not on him. He did his part and then they spent the next two years or so killing his heat and keeping him on the undercard until just before rock was about to come back for the rumble.

Agreed, thats why I said WWE didnt see the vision but it was good ammo for Rock to use in a worked promo just like Punk's comments on Rock's schtick were

They should have never gave Rock a free title shot like 10 months before his return :hhh:

I thought they should have given it to Ryback since he had the backing of the crowd. Or at least the Worlds title but nah he had to lose to punk and then mark henry for some stupid reason at Wrestlemania :stopitslime:

And then they turned him heel against john cena of all people :gucci:

Sounds like the start of punk comeback heel promo. Next would be how the WWE activated his vision once he lefr and gave credit to HHH

Rock's promo before Royal Rumble 2013 where he talks about his Mom having cancer is one of his best ever promos imo, I posted here a while back and someone compared it to a Dusty promo; dead on. He showed some great versatility that night.

And for people complaining that he cuts the same promo and same thing everytime he returns... the crowd love it and the fans at home love it. His 30 minute New Day segment last year where he interacted with the fans dressed as Hogan/Savage/Taker was one of the best WWE's best 2016 moments. Hell his WM32 promo was classic from start to finish.

He gives the fans what they want so nikkas better stop complaining. This is the GOAT One we're talking about
