Any one here have experience buying real estate using this method?

I’d always heard about buying houses off the court stairs but never really knew much about it. I’m interested in buying a home outright and someone suggested this to me, as I determined not to have any debt again, including a mortgage. So, I’m trying to find any route to explore this possibility.

If anyone has any experience on doing this - especially in the state of Georgia - and can talk about his experience, or if you have any resources to offer on how I can better educate myself on this method, I would truly appreciate it.

I haven’t bought one personally but I do know it takes time to actually become owner of the property. You have to give the owner a certain amount of time to pay off the debt. If they don’t after that amount of time that’s when you become owner of the property. Even during that time frame interest is accruing so you’re making money either way
