Drake surprised everyone by bringing Kanye out during his OVO fest performance this week. You have a less than amicable history with Drake and of course Kanye is fam. There was a divide between them but now it’s looking like they buried the hatchet. What do you make of their display of mutual respect?

I think that should be good for them. ‘Ye seemed happy, he had some great things to say. Drake had some really good things to say about how it made him feel to bring ‘Ye out and for him to be a part of it. I think it’s good for the people. I’m sure they enjoyed it.

Do you see that leading to them making music together?

Aw man, if they do I hope it’s great.

If there was a slot for you on one of their records together, would you be opposed to getting on board with that collaboration?

Listen, I’m down with anything that has to do with great music.

More/other parts to the write up are here http://thestashed.com/pusha-talks-drake-kanye-at-ovo-fest-mnimn/

Switching gears to music, you’ve been hyping up the fact that My Name Is My Name is a real high-grade project but there’s been more delays with it than anticipated. What’s standing in the way of you dropping the album at this point?

Man, just mixes and sample clearances. It ain’t nothing, I got the album of the year. The only reason I can sit here and speak on that is just cause I know how great it is. I might be a little bit sadder if I didn’t know what I had, but I’m happy.

:comeon: Oh damn...those dreaded sample clearances strike again :comeon:

Of course he'd :krs: and jump head first onto a track featuring Kanye and Drake...if he hadn't been playing jealous hating ass Mad Rapper, he could've gotten his Drake stimulus package a long time ago and his album would have had a release date already

Malice was always the nicest. What I don't get is that for all this hustlin' talk, this nikka sure is hustlin' backwards. The Clipse could have been their own independent brand, they have their own cult fan base, including me, I don't get why nikkas like a Busta Rhymes, like a Chief Keef, like a Pusha T sign with a major :mindblown: Why not stay independent, release hot sh*t every 3 months, and move like 10-30,000 units at $10 a pop? Nikkaz wanna be more famous than rich :smh: Pusha really disappoints me man, saying that as a fan.

In Pusha's case, he just wants to be That Dude...he wants to have that moment on top of the game where it's understood and everybody acknowledges him as that guy (and you really can't do that via the indy or pseudo-indy route...unless you're making cac-rap)...and that's why he does all the sneak dissing at dudes who have been that guy, because he thinks it should be him instead...he isn't content being a former lower mid-card guy whose major league days are behind him, still laboring about and having a productive minor league career...the clipse kinda tried they luck with that with the Re-Up Gang Records era where they were dropping the mixtapes, put out the half-assed group album on Koch, then ran to sign with another major the first chance they could to just flop and get dropped again...

Welp. Too bad. :heh:

Could used that Drake stimulus package. He'd have you sitting at least on a top 40 song or a hot bubbling joint. :heh:

...but you chose to throw rocks at the throne, even after dude claimed to look up to you as a kid. :heh:

He should have known better than to do that. :patrice:

Looks like Pusha T is the:

But that's the funny thing, like Pusha and Malice were DEM NIKKAS, every track they dropped nikkas was like  :whew: :wow: Sh*t like Chinese New Year, I'm Not You, Virginia, I mean, with the beats, with the lyrics, just another level of rap. Why do you want recognition from people who don't know sh*t about your culture. I'd rather be DAT NIKKA within my peer group then having some random 45 year old white dude asking for my autograph because he saw me on VH1.

malice fukked it up too by leaving the group. They coulda been MUCH bigger than where they are.

Pusha even has had a few songs that have been bangers here and there. A few hot verses too.

But he wants to be bigger...and him beefing hurt him.

Exactly. Could have been to VA/DMV/North Carolina what Wale is to the DMV or what Drake is to TDOT or what Big Sean is to Detroit, etc.

You can add MIA/CHI/LA/NYC, dem nikkaz had a national following within the hop hop culture, straight up, nikkaz just wanted to be more famous than rich, this nikka wanted to have papparazzi chasin' him and sh*t on Sunset Blvd on some Denzel sh*t. Nikka you rappin' about hustlin'/street fashion/dat white, you were never gonna have Hollywood type appeal. These nikkas need to hire career advisors :pachaha:
