I don't have it yet but you can get 3 months for 17.99 or 12 months for 49.99. The biggest pros I've seen are you get free games and it's not just bullshyt games, there are big titles like Uncharted 3, Sleeping Dogs, Infamous 2 and Little Big Planet. Also you get PSN+ pricing on alot of the stuff in the store, some of the game discounts make the games lower than they are priced on Amazon. You get automatic PSN updates too I believe. So basically the membership pays for itself instantly.
The only con to it that some people might see is that you have to have it for multiplayer on PS4 but I'm cool with that.
It's dope. Outside of the free games you get, there's automatic updates, cloud saving discounts on a lot of stuff in the PS Store, early access to demos/betas. There's a ton of value with PS+.

If you run out of space, you can start the download and just cancel it... once you download it, it'll be in your list of downloaded games so you can simply go back to your account and redownload games later on if you're tight with space.

What does one full year ($50) of PlayStation Plus look like? [Note: These are just the complimentary games, not the features or discounts.] : Games
1-You only have the game as long as you are a subscriber.
2-The games are available on a rotating basis. If you join now you don't get all the past games, you get the current ones and going forward.
However, note that you only have to buy (at no cost) the game when it is offered. You can defer downloading it until later. This way you don't have to worry about how many games there are and if you can't fit them on your console.
3-If you get PS+ for your PS3 you get it for your Vita also and vice-versa. It's one price for both for the year.
4-if your subscription expires, you can resubscribe and have access to the games you previously downloaded. However you won't be able to get the games that were free during the period that you were unsubscribed.

I also use the discounts occasionally. Got Costume Quest for 3 bones (the Stacking was the same price and I missed out) and even right now there are a bunch of game sales that you get even more of a discount on if you have PS+.
It also has a couple of dope features that help a lot. You can store game saves on cloud storage (I think that's how it works) and when you have downloads or updates available, they'll automatically download for you overnight if you want to set it up.

Last Christmas they offered the Sony Music Unlimited app for like $12 for the whole year. The regular price I believe is over $100. Right now you can get it for $42 w/a PS+ membership
