He was pressing because he was getting his ass handed to him by Leonard. So he tried to throw one up and draw a foul call.

It was just a stupid shot, and it hurt a teammate.

What's kinda foul is that I think the "play to draw the foul rather than get the most efficient shot" strategy has become rewarded for a lot of these cats. So you got a lot of cats driving INTO crowds or bodies, looking for contact in reckless fashion...because the refs are quick to whistle. If Melo makes even two more shots last night, his points per attempt approach the efficient game zone and he was in no way making efficient decisions for chunks of game time.

It's really a fukked up thing. People who can afford those seats aren't usually the real fans. I'd love to be able to jump up and down(reasonably) & slap hands with Por & Melo during games in the 4th Quarter.

I always watch for our games at Philly on the schedule and keep an eye on courtside prices to those. Courtside at MSG ain't happening for me unless I hit the lottery. I was courtside a few years back in Philly and it cost under 300 bones. It was one row back from directly on the court, but still in some leather seats with a pass to go to a special bar that only courtside ticketholders get to visit. Spike Lee was chillin' in the spot at half time eating a meal with security blocking so you couldn't bother him too.
