That's the aim, but what's the best option in this situation? Indirectly help ISIS with no plan in place for the immediate aftermath?
I'm under the impression we're not helping ISIS by bombing them. Assad feels otherwise although he says it helps with specific local issues. That's of course not to say airstrikes are the cause of ISIS proliferation and gains.
The US is also arming and helping the Kurds, Iraq, and whatever units we're funding in Syria which prevents them from being overrun or exhausted. If you remember the West and Russia helped to create negotiations in Switzerland I believe a few years ago but those fell apart.
Assad is sick and has to go listen to the interview especially his rants about barrel bombs.
The best situation would be a new government and the stabilization of Syria and it's borders.
It's becoming clear that Lebanon is now starting to slip not specifically due to Syria or terrorism but the government is in a very precarious situation. Also obviously Iraq has it's own breadbasket of issues.

Oh yeah, there's already a thread on Russia you created, post this shyt in there fakkit.
