Dre RZA Primo now those are super elites, whole sub genres are credited to them
Tip is similar to Sweet Jones their rap game kinda obscures the fact that they are indeed eclectic producers
u talking catalog or skill?
Because when skill, tip dilla, pete and madlib are above all.

How much credit does Ali Shaheed Muhammad get for the Tribe production? the first three tribe albums are credited to the group and even if Tip did the majority of it; it's a little bit unfair to just erase Shaheed's contribution. Albums 4 and 5 and Tip's first solo joint contain a lot production from Jay Dee (Dilla).
Also his production credits outside of the tribe albums and his own stuff while dope seem a little sparse compared to some of the other greats like Dj Premier, Pete Rock, Rza, Dre & Dilla. Tip is certainly up there but for me he's more likely to be somewhere between 7-15 rather than top 5 because of the things Ive just mentioned.

i know he added DJ elements, and he did work as lucy pearl but, i havnt heard him do anything on his own like tipas a rapper and producer, you would not use dilla beats? i would as a rapper and work with him as a team as a producer

Ali was officially part of the ummah with both Tip & Dilla as well as the work he did with Lucy Pearl. Also he has production credits on D'angleo and Mos Def first albums he also produced a dope song for a lesser know British singer as well as Jon B:
Now listen to those four songs and tell me that Ali was not accomplished producer in his day? he doesn't really have the quantity to back up the selected quality Ive just posted but given the production ability he clearly had, which most on here are probably unaware of he probably had a little more input into the tribe albums than a lot fans are prepared to give him credit for; thats not to take anything away from Tip as it seems clear he lead the production on the first three projects and of the latest one.

RZA is now doing the Hollywood thing, doing movies and shyt. The movies maybe shytty as hell but he doing what he want.
RZA put 9 mcs in the game and produced a shyt load of classics.
He put nikkas like Dreddy Kruegar, 4th Disciple, Allah Mathematics, Arabian Knight in the game, bruh bruh!
