This just makes me realize how far Nas fell off...Dude was making these wack a+s beats sound majestic...

Now Nas, like most rappers, need a great beat to sound half decent...

for some reason, i can never view shiit off of vevo anymore, but i assume it's the one that played on stretch n bobbito back in the day. i have that on my rare/unreleased/singles/b-sides cd. that beat is dope as hell. it seems like it was done in the same signature and time frame as one time 4 your mind. is it as good as the album version? nah, but it's definetly not wack. like i said, maybe we're talking about different versions.
is this the one?

Nas stopped writing with the same dedication as he used to. Word is he used to rent hotel rooms and just sit in there and pen the verses. I think the dedication people take to their crafts in their youth doesnt carry over when they become millionares. They just hope their fanbase sticks with them.
