Quadruple homicide in upstate NY

‘Savage’ Killings of 2 Women and 2 Children Stun Upstate City of Troy

4 victims, two children, and two women, found in a basement of a house in Troy.

My first guess is there is no suspect and it was murder/suicide, the property manager received a call, asking him to check on the property, which contained the bodies. Could be the killer, or someone concerned with the mental state or circumstances of either or both parties, and the children.

im gonna say no on murder/suicide since all 4 had their throats slit.
I would imagine its damn near impossible to slit your own throat

Schenectady was voted the most dangerous small city in America at one point. :picard:

Upstate got so many issues. They gentrify the shyt outta Troy and it's still dangerous as fukk.

It is diguisting. My business is in Rotterdam/Schenectady, and I use a lot of temp labor from Schenectady, and I have met hundreds, maybe thousands of folks, every race, background, etc. my sister is a special ed teacher at Schenectady high school, and she was also a special ed teacher in a really shytty Chicago city high school. My mom is a senior P.O. (was a drug/alchahol abuse counselor for decades, now she interviews convicted criminals and submits recommendations for sentencing to the judge). My wife was a home care nurse for many years, going to the worst parts of the capital district (Schenectady, Albany, Troy/Lansinburg, Cohoes, etc) tending to elderly and children, our most vulnerable, poorest citizens. They are gentrifying parts of Troy, true, but the property taxes are so fukking high, it will end up as abandoned projects. I love Troy, when I first moved here in 07, that is the only place I fukked with heavy, I loved the bars, and access to all the drugs I wanted. They are trying to gentrify Schenectady too, with the casino going in. And the waterfront project, but that shyt ain’t going to work either. The area has absolutely zero plan to help the community rise up. There are serious, SERIOUS problems with police brutality in Troy and Schenectady, and it is left unchecked, and it will get worse. I lived through this same shyt everywhere I have lived, just different social demographics. I grew up around Lowell, Lawrence, Haverhill. Moved to Pittsburgh area, saw what happened in Connelsville, Uniontown, Fayette County.
Now it’s Schenectady, Troy, Albany. These areas are left to dead, not only because America does nothing to help the African American community, but because of the white people that are so fukking washed on opioids that they can’t even function, and once Republicans can’t count on that vote, they don’t fukking care anymore.

Lived in Troy for a minute. Classic old industrial age town with no more businesses to drive the economy. People just left to rot since corporate america doesn't want their labor any more. Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is in town and by now I bet most of their students are from overseas :wow:

fukking disgusting pieces of shyt. Schenectady is one of the shyttiest, grimiest, dumps I have ever experienced. There is an air of grime there that I just have never seen. I talk to my brother about it all the time, like all the shytholes that I have ever lived, like the shytty parts of Pittsburgh, the shytty parts of Lowell, there were scumbags, sure, but there was always some kind of “code” I guess, in some of the parts of Schenectady that I go to see friends or go to a restaurant (there are places in Schenectady that are really old, but have really good food) your head is ALWAYS on a swivel. I know there are places everywhere like that, but Schenectady has fukking GE, Union college, there are some really nice places in Schenectady, and a company as profitable as GE should never let a fairly small city become what it has. Just impoverished people on top of each other, and the negativity spreads. The community businesses and corporations NEED to do better in helping out the community. This is the capital region of the greatest State in the fukking world, and ALL the resources go towards Gotham.
