Higher octane doesn't mean it's "higher quality"

It just means the gas burns slower. You only need slower burning gas in engines with higher compression ratios (high performance engines like what you get in AMG, M3, M5, SRT) to prevent pre-ignition. In a regular engine with run-of-the-mill compression it doesn't do anything and it's a waste of money

If your engine isn't detonating under WOT then there's no reason to go higher.
