TULSA, OK. (WAFB) - A former Southern football player was booked into the Tulsa County Jail in Oklahoma on Saturday, Apr. 12, on domestic violence-related charges.
Quaydarius Davis, 22, faces charges of first-degree burglary and domestic abuse and battery by strangulation. This comes after video posted to social media allegedly shows Davis with a woman who says he choked her until she passed out.
Davis, a former Southern University football player, was dismissed from the football team in October 2024 for breaking team rules, according to a spokesperson with the school. The specific rule Davis broke is unknown at this time, but the school says Davis no longer has affiliation with SU Athletics.
Davis posted to Instagram earlier in the week that he was entering the transfer portal with one year of eligibility left.
This dude wasn't going anywhere in football.
