Question about car painting.

I went to the car wash because there was specks of dirt on my hood. Come to find out its not dirt but paint missing...idk how this even happened.

Can I fix this myself or should I go to a detail shop?

If you're not in love with your whip just order touch up paint that is the exact same color from the dealer and do it yourself for cheap. You'll be able to tell if you're up close looking for it though, so if you're a huge car guy you're gonna have to shell out to get it done at a shop.

How much it usually run?

A shop is going to want you to get the whole piece that the chips are on painted so a couple hundred at least. Touch up paint is like $20
