Why is it that every record thats being broken now, was set before carbon emissions was even a thing?

Here in Chicago, weather man said this is the 12th day in a row, with temperatures below 20 degrees. Record set in 1895.

Then its the same for record highs as well.

Do anyone have any articles explaining why all these records were set before carbon emissions, if that is whats causing our temperature problems now?

Need to look at average temperatures/weather over longer periods.

Weather is the day-to-day state of the atmosphere, and its short-term variation in minutes to weeks. People generally think of weather as the combination of temperature, humidity, precipitation, cloudiness, visibility, and wind. ... Climate is the weather of a place averaged over a period of time, often 30 years.
