There is nothing wrong with having preferences but hear me out please.

Say if you meet a woman, shes everything youve been looking for in a woman: sweet, smart, beautiful, has a lot to offer, great qualities etc. But 5 yrs ago her husband died in a car crash/train accident/plane accident and left her with 2 kids.

Will you still pursue her or u just totally against dating/marrying/starting a relationship with a single mother?

Well, it wouldn't be her fault for being in that situation. Dating a single mom is fine if she didn't get into her position because of being irresponsible.

But I've seen comments from guys on here, facebook, twitter and in real life that said they won't date a woman with kids regardless of her situation.

The scarlet letter applies to women who have babies OUT OF WEDLOCK with their boyfriends or random one night stands. I don't think anyone is talking bad about women who had children while they were married and the husband died in acar accident or in a war or something.

Is that the ideal? No. Most certainly not. However it's not associated with the same stigma as women just popping out babies with men out of wedlock.

I ask this question because a good friend of mine (mid 20s) got married to her husband when she was 18...they had 2 children soon after, he died a few years back in a freak car accident. It took her a while to get over it and get her life back on track. But she tells me how guys are so quick to stereotype her for being a single mom without knowing her story which is why she sworn off dating. And when she do go on dates with guys and tell them what happened in her previous marriage, they either dont call her after the date or try to sleep with her.

I've dated a single mother before and it didn't end well (her baby daddy wanted to kill me). Not saying I wouldn't do it again though under special circumstances.

well this isnt about a single mother with a living baby daddy...this is about a single mother with a dead ex husband, whom was her first and only love.
