My last job was making plans to create a 24/hr SOC and that's why I left. My new job hasn't mentioned it yet. But the minute they do I'm leaving here also. This is becoming the norm as more and more companies get hacked.

Usually companies require you to participate in some kind of 24/hr oncall rotation. Which depending on the company can be just as bad.

Never got used to the nights, would always go sleep from aroun 11 to 4.. then I had a couple hours to deal with any alerts which got a bit sticky at times but fukk it
Generally, it sucked cos my schedule was all over but the grind was worth it, i think I jumped from 32k or 36 cant remeber in that role to £55k on my next role as a cyber sec analyst, lookin back it was a low ball offer but i hadnt even thought about earnin that kinda bread until that moment lol
Necessary jumping point if you wanna get into inicident response, threat hunting or red team shyt and there are always roles. I stayed in mine for like a year and a bit
