Question: Is Jay-Z's "Heavyweight Champ" Criteria Still Relevant Today?

....not talking about HIM particularly, but this:

Jay-Z from "Breathe Easy (Lyrical Exercise)" said:
"Y'all nikkas can't be serious right now
I'm the all-time heavyweight champion of flowers
I'm leading the league in at least six statistical categories right now:
Best Flow, Most Consistent, Realest Stories
Most Charisma, I Set the Most Trends
And my Interviews are Hotter

Holla!...."

First of all....are those criteria even still applicable?

If so, who best fits them NOW, today?

Hell, IS there anybody who fits all six categories?

Should there be MORE than six categories?

Build with me.....

I'm sayin'....

I'm not a fan of Drake particularly, but I could see him leading a couple but not all, you know?

I honestly don't think there is a rapper right now who could make such a claim.

so gay

I understand hiphop is all about ego and boasting but even amongst an entire genre of narcissistic emcees Jay Z somehow manages to stand out as one of the most narcissistic

Jay Z = most overrated rapper of all time.

Why didnt he go back to the sahara with the rest of his friends and eat sand for the rest of his life after ether. How does he have the nerve to show his face.

As high as the hate is for Jay, you can't deny that he snapped on that track.

Besides Jay-Z, I could kendrick. I mean even if his stories are fictional. He came up from an environment very similar to the one his characters interact with.

I don't think there is one.

Only one I can think of is Kendrick Lamar but he is not setting any trends. Idk about charisma. Interviews, Jay was just probably having fun with that last one.

Maybe Cac West? Doesn't has the best flow but everything else is pretty much there.

Kanye probably. Kendrick could potentially be that guy, but he lacks charisma and his interviews are kinda dull cause he wants to be politically correct all the time and not offend anyone (when he is himself, he's cool thoug).

i think you taking the "six categories" thing a little too serious. he was just talking shyt on a track. next thing you gonna be asking if there's any new rappers who should win an ESPY for sporting fly shyt.
