I am seeing more and more restaurants promoting these, most recently Trill burgers. I never had one but can anyone here explain the phenomenon? They look kinda crunchy from the ones I seen, which would be a no no for me.

they are SUPER quick and easy to make and they taste really good cuz the cast iron will sear the outside of the burger.

this is something u can EASILY make at home, and I don't really see the purpose of going to a restaurant for them. I'm probably gonna make some this evening to be honest.

last time I made them, I took it to the next level by taking the griddle off my stove and putting it on my grill for a smokey smash burger :ohlawd:

Yeah, if done right (which isn't too hard especially with a cast iron) they're solid...if you like caramelization.

It's quick as well cooks the patty faster being so thin.

Get you some brioche buns, caramelize some onions, get some american cheese and make some at home :banderas:
