Fixed country level mass transit in this country hasn't been viable since the 70s. This is because America's culturally would rather take a plane or car because those two can take you to any of the lower 48 states damn near directly (price may change but its possible). Trains take you where their tracks are and no place else. Amtrak is there but no one outside the northeast corridor will be using it.

I knew the Hyperloop was bullshxt because of where he wanted to put it.

Do you think more people need to go from NYC to DC on a daily basis or LA to SF? I knew when he was pursuing California this was just an investor trap.
