On the home screen, can I get rid of the little home image towards the bottom?
It takes up a whole row

How do I do that?

It's right on the home screen
towards the bottom
it's a little house
It takes up a whole row
I could put 4 short cuts there

No it shows you what your home page is and how many other pages you have ...it you download an app called Nova launcher you can add more columns/rows of apps.

I would like to remove it

not sure man i personally hate samsung strictly because of how awful touchwiz is. Your probably new to android but id highly recommend rooting and flashing a stock android rom on it. Read up online and on XDA forums. But yeah only way to remove it is changing the launcher, that'll allow you to chose what kind of page icons you want
