Quick Question WIFI tethering androids

So I'm going away for work for a while and want to know is there anyway I can get around tethering and hot spot for free with my gs5?

Wifi tethering I think you might have to root your phone, that's what I did for my GS3 when I had it. Then there should be a wifi tethering app in Google Play after you do so.

I use Easytether, but any website that requires secure authentication won't work unless you pay for their unlocked version for 10 bucks. I went ahead and did it since AT&T charges you to tether. It's a good way to get around carriers who don't let you tether for free.

It's pretty easy to use.

Google it...there's abuncha apps for free tethering. If you have Verizon's bullshyt shared data thing then it's free. Most tethering apps are pay to use, so you might have to shell out a little something for it. Or you can go to Mobilism and get it for free.

I used PDAnet before I started flashing Roms where tethering came standard.

im on tmobile and they tried to hit me with that 15 dollar extra charge for more tethering

i just downloaded the Chrome UA spoofer and set it to android. so now when im tethered and browsing the web on my laptop, i set my browser to pretend it's an android device and now i can tether unlimited and tmobile can go fukk itself

On the Galaxy S5 I just used towlroot to root the phone and flashed a custom ROM. the native Wifi hotspot app was unlocked in the ROM so no need to download any other apps. I'm with Sprint so I flashed MOAR 2.1
