Quiet year for YG = Quiet year for Mustard?

Okay not necessarily a quiet year for YG. He recently dropped a single, been on a few features, and is touring with J. Cole (he was great by the way. He asked the crowd to show titties but no one showed titties though.)

But last year Mustard KILLED the summer and pretty much the entire 2014. Every other song that was poppin was "Mustard on the beat." You could attribute it to the success of YG. After YG's album took off Mustard's sound took off to a new level of success. Now we aint really getting that this year. Mustard's fallen out the spotlight after one of the most dominating years I've seen for a producer in awhile. So with this, does retrospect show Mustard needs YG more and YG really owned 2014?

Mustard is suffering the same fate That Lex did. When you get a sound. People will make carbon copies. And sell it for cheaper.

There are "mustard beats" on the radio that weren't even made by him.

It happens though. I think he did alright this year, but his influence in the mainstream is clear.
