At LEAST 3 of his first 4 albums are classic

Are u serious? .Quik was doing the over the top vulgar "kill a n*gga/ fuk a b*tch" rap that NWA was doing. NWA did it first so it came off as if Quik was riding what they were doing. Plus he looked like an NWA reject.

I have been trying to tell DJ Quik fans this exact same thing, when they made the thread of Kendrick Lamar with DJ Quik album...
Dude has NO bangers at all...At least, something that non-Quik fans will know about...

No the fukk he wasn't...Quik is the name is pretty much a funk based party album...NOBODY would say that album sounded anything like Straight out of Compton...only thing that people could compare is that Quik and Easy E voices sounded similar
So true. I remember only getting into his music because he was cursing wrecklessly on records, which was the new thing of the early 90's. I actually prefered AMG's album "bytch Betta Have My Money" over anything Quik has ever done.

way 2 funky(sounds nothing like nwa). safe n sound(sounds nothing like nwa). rhythmalism(sounds nothing like nwa). balance n options(sounds nothing like nwa) and all of those are classics. if we go by the the moronic thought process of the nikkas on this post then no one from the east coast before 2000 has ever had hits, cuz no one in the west was listening to that shyt.
