Quincy Jones has never been one to shy away from speaking his mind.

In an exclusive interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the 88-year-old musician and producer recalled an exchange with Elvis Presley.

When asked if he had ever worked with the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Jones said, “No. I wouldn’t work with him.”

“I was writing for [orchestra leader] Tommy Dorsey, oh God, back then in the ’50s. And Elvis came in, and Tommy said, ‘I don’t want to play with him.’ He was a racist motherf—er. I’m going to shut up now,” Jones added.

Read that whole interview. Quincy always has this weird way of talking about Michael. I can't explain it, but there's some longstanding resentment there.

You can tell he didn't want to say too much after the last interview.
He doesn't feel he gets the credit he deserves for Michael's success in the 80s.
