Can't even hate on this mans statement, and I like Wayne. Thoughts? @charmander lookin at u deh deh
Let’s get real, man. When you come from the era of Ray Charles, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, Frank Sinatra and Michael Jackson, it gets hard to get used to Lil Wayne. I just can’t handle it. There are some good singers out there. Mary J Blige can sing, so can Mariah Carey and Christina Aguilera. I know who they are. I also know who they aren’t, too.

He's out of touch, music is soulless these days because its all corporate and the blood sucking music execs + downloading/pirating fans made it this way.

How is he out of touch if the music today is souless tho? Wouldnt you just say he has a soul? I agree tho

He's trying to shiit on the fans for making Lil' Wayne or Macklemore popular. But I don't feel they are the problem, because these guys actually go out and buy music. He doesn't understand the climate, that's why he is out of touch.

The root of the problem are fans who pirate and download every album in sight, so good music never gets supported x the record label has no choice to drop garbage that actually sells. Its almost May, look how many hip-hop or R&B releases we have as of yet.

Also, Quincy Jones hates hip-hop, so he is the wrong guy to use to prove your point, he even shiits on hip-hop producers.

:what:
Now you just talking out your ass. Quincy Jones always been a fan of Hip Hop. He been loving Hip Hop since way back in the 80s.

He released Back On The Block in 88 with Big Daddy Kane on the opening track. In 88 Hip Hop wasn't even at it's peak so he didn't do it for the money, he did it for his love of new music.

Do you know how many rapper Quincy Jones allowed to sample him? Unlike Prince or all these other fukk nikkas.

I'm not even gonna list them all, that's a whole different thread in itself. Just click the link and you'll see some of your favorite songs.

nikka said Quincy Jones hate Hip Hop and is out of touch with music? :stopitslime: Go listen to his Juan Epstein interview and tell me that sounds like a man that's out of touch?
