I stopped drinking in January, work out every day, eat nutritious meals and rarely consume red meat or pork, take a daily regimen of supplements, and drink a gallon of water a day.

But, try as I might, quitting cigarettes is a challenge I’ve yet to successfully meet.

I only smoke one cigarette a day, a silver lining in an otherwise horrendous habit, I guess. But, I don’t want to smoke at all.

I smoked on and off for 20 years. I quit cigs like 3 or 4 years ago when I went to vaping only. I quit vaping a few months ago and haven't vaped/smoked anything since. I still get cravings from time to time. You just have to have mental strength to get over the cravings.

Start smoking your cigarettes backwards. Watch how quickly you quit as that melting filter hits different...

On the real, try this:

Take your next cig and don't light it but go through the motions of smoking exactly as you normally would. Same pace, pretend to light it up, inhale, flick it, all of that. See what happens.

You may be surprised.

maybe it's the ritual aspect/trappings of smoking that keeps you coming back, that was a big aspect to me when i had the habit. you should consider switching to something like bud or crack. :manny:

I never smoked cigarettes but I picked up a Juul habit like 4 years ago cuz my homies at work would leave every 20 mins to go smoke and nobody judges smokers

Stopped for a couple years no problem and then started again in 2021. Literally on week 6 of using nicorette gum and I haven’t touched a vape in that time.

Ironically enough FDA announced they shutting Juul down today.
