I've always listened to her music since her debut. I got a crazy story about "dreamlover" that yall probably don't want to hear so I'll keep it to myself lol. What really made me a fan was her appearance on the Apollo. I'll never forget watching that Saturday night. I had heard her songs on the radio, but seeing that white girl perform "love takes time" in middle school (1990) live let me know she was really that good. Then it was the "i'll be there" mtv unplugged, but she was outshined by Trey Lorenz though
