Daniel Arap Moi was a puppet leader that sold us into international debt. I watched as a kid in real time as he tanked the economy and inflation hit the currensy. I watched him steal several bloody elections and so forth. He supported the pillage of resources and public funds. He left office and retired almost in shame basically never to be seen again.
He's gone and he definitely had time to ponder his legacy and I doubt it sat well with him.
