Greatest R&B artist in my lifetime. Kells generated so many classic songs it's almost unbelievable. Dude is legendary. I almost laugh when those Prince/R. Kelly threads pop up and so many people sh!t on Kells. Prince is a legend too, but the hood ACTUALLY PLAYS R. Kelly. For over 2 decades. Real sh!t.

nikkas swear they fukk with Prince heavy:mjlol:...but some nikkas measure greatness of black artist with how much they are accepted by white people which I think plays a part:manny:....Kellz and Al Green my rnb goats and I don't see it changing any time soon...I don't remember it on the Karate Chop remix but it says it samples it:patrice:...RBL plays it in the background at the part about "might be a little R Kelly,to help me spread them legs:youngsabo:" at 1:35mark

You my dude too, Animal but there's entire hoods across the US that believes Kells walked on water. Seriously. You can go to hoods in Florida, Ny, Cali and in between and you'll find hordes of Kelly believers. Any given hour you can hear R. Kelly blasting out of a living room window. Go to a black club and you'll hear DJs spinning old Kells in with their contemporary playlists. Kells is SUPREMELY underrated on this board.

dont think he underrated, just think it's the person he's getting compared against in that discussion....when comparing him to prince, you comparing him to a dude that was in 'whose better' discussions with mj, so you know he coming with some heat...

...to clarify: i'm not knocking you picking R over prince nor saying you're wrong....that's your opinion and it's cool, i just disagree.....besides, you cant go wrong with either choice....

R. Kelly's run from 1992 - 2001 is one of the greatest ever. I don't really mess with the music he released beyond that point. That '92-'01 period though showcased one of the greatest artists ever.
