A racc00n that got into a fight with two large dogs in Norfolk tested positive for rabies.
The altercation with the dogs was on September 21 in the 7000 block of North Shore Road. The dogs are receiving the rabies vaccine.
The Norfolk Department of Public Health says this incident serves as a reminder for pet owners to keep them up-to-date on their vaccinations. Also, if your pet or a family member is exposed to a potentially rabid animal, report it to your local health department.
