When I first got to NYC late 90s I realized I hated the fake camaraderie between Ricans and Black people. Whole relationship felt forced and one sided.

Ricans seemed to be plotting against Blacks, but Black people couldn't tell because they were too caught up in this fake alliance after years of isolation and rejection.
I never trusted any of them and saw right through them.
