He is one of the best soccer players, and finally won the cup on his fifth try. Its like if a player were to go to the nfl or nba playoffs consistently thru out their career but never win the super bowl or finals. Players like Barry Sanders and Randy Moss are considered some of the greats at their position and they never won a Super Bowl. Seeing that happen makes it feel more special. France won the last World Cup and Mbappe was on that team, won the golden boot this cup, and is about to turn 24 so he's got plenty of time. Messi in his mid 30s, this was his last chance. Same way if Portugal would've won with Ronaldo.

Yeah I feel you on that. I know both are good. Guess some just have their preference. I don't watch much to be able to analyze each of them or any player, just what I hear on here and around the web. Would've been nice to see Messi and Ronaldo in finals.
