Just like movie execs, actors, music execs, sportspeople...... they used status to nonce people.

So I think it was the fame and clout more than being BBC.

The BBC has a track record of looking the other way re: allegations with these personalities though. I won’t go as far as to say they’re complicit but they definitely don’t care as much as they should when people start getting accused of being wrong’uns.

Stuart Hall as well. More a broadcaster than DJ tho.

A lot of people knew about Savile and others but were too scared to say anything incase they got blacklisted. So you got to wonder whose careers got blacklisted for speaking out or making it known within the BBC. We know Savile and others had Royal Government and Police connections.

while that's true, they aint the only ones

so many companies/ sports teams/ political parties/ record labels have done the same
