Album is nowhere near as bad as heads claim it to be. It just had the tough task of being the follow up to OB4CL. 
He was still spittin the kind of shyt you would want from Rae, but the production was def a drop off after how perfect it was on ob4cl, joints like the table, 100 rounds, sneaker and live from NY were good thoAlbum is nowhere near as bad as heads claim it to be. Sneakers, Yae Yo and Forecast are my favorite from the album, but a lot of that ish on there was trash. After their Verzuz, I dusted off my OG CD and tried to play it...a few more joints on there, Table, 100 Rounds, but overall still trash.

Man...I know Rae was tired of RZA & The Clan by the time he recorded this project but had he been able to secure RZA/Wu Elements on this it'd would've been near-classic or better. Rae was destroying every single track at this point. Just needed shaper production, and RZA was still dropping heat in 98 (Rae would've killlllled polluted wisdom, tracks that were on The Pillage, Can I See U?, etc.), and 4th was plenty capable too.
Not having a single Ghost appearance was deplorable...

Rae in 98/99 dropped nicer shyt than nas and jay imo, its just spread over 20 diff record. Unlike them, hes on everything that dropped those years. Every soundtrack. Every street album. Every mixtape.
If he woulda did that instead of taking checks for 20 diff osts, features, etc immobilarity woulda been supreme clientele level.
Yet noone remembers any of that looking back which is crazy.
