just wanted to do an appreciation thread for Rah Digga because i respect her so much for her input and female energy presence on Lord Jamar’s Yanadameen Godcast on YouTube.

i’m the last nikka to check for female emcees but Rah Digga is a throwback to that good hip hop foreal. female rappers nowadays are so controlled and wack that Rah Digga and artists like MC Lyte....i just appreciate them so much more and i appreciate their music so much more nowadays that i wanted to make a thread about her.

album has a nice throwback to that 2000’s sound. plus she can spit and is really about the culture. she does a wonderful job on Jamar’s podcast and adds the perfect perspective. plus she’s pretty and smart than a mufucca too and so much better than female rappers now and she can spit :salute:

I always liked the beat on the Intro and wished it was a full song instead of just Spliff Starr rapping and Rampage talking!

Digga is dope, but this album is a victim of its time. Very late 90's/early 2000's production with a lot of mainstream (or attempting to be mainstream) artists/albums weren't my lane. If she would have dropped even 2 years earlier.......

:banderas::banderas:

One of my favorite posse cuts of all time... Me and my guys used to go back and forth like these cats..

this is nice

i have no attention span and especially not for female rappers, so this is a good album. this album has some songs on it, when i really sit and think about it.

she’s one of the few female rappers i could actually listen to. really just her....Mc Lyte...and Lauryn Hill. there’s a few songs on this album that are really good and the others aren’t bad. she’s worth a listen def. i like her opinion on hip hop music too.

the production on this album sounds like what 2018 needs more of. good 90s/2000 gritty hip hop beats and hooks.

:ohhh: you really can make that argument. and listening to it now makes you appreciate it even more. it dropped at the right time too when there was still a standard for lyrics. 2000 was a good year for music. i slept on this back then.

i forgot about Eve also she’s nice
