I'm no stink fan, but lol @ this irrelevant bum trashing him when hes only claim to fame was being carried by Bruno in the 70s, being champ of a failing promotion just because he was the promoters son in law, and ruining nitro with his..........slow..........pointless..........commentary.........in..........this...........fashion. He also shyts on TNA and claims everyone's on food stamps :duck:

n an interview with WGD Weekly w/ Steve & The Scum, Larry Zbyszko spoke about TNA's financial issues, WCW's downfall and more. Here are the highlights:

On Vince Russo coming to WCW in 1999 and the dying days of WCW: "Eric and his buddies were gone, so Bill brings in this idiot Russo who was writing for the WWE…as far as I'm concerned, he's a cancer…So, this goofy Russo comes in and by the time he came in…it went back to stupid nonsense with some idiot who has no idea what he is doing…So, they move me to Thunder…I was pissed…I knew the biggest, hottest wrestling ever was about to die…Russo just kept doing stupid stuff, the worst part is, we had a guy that was the next Bruno, Goldberg, people loved him, he was hot…but instead of Goldberg being champion, the new champion was Russo and some idiot little, skinny puke, David Arquette…the whole thing just turned to absolute manure…you had this slob, Mark Madden on Nitro, picking his nose and god knows what else…it was horrifying…"

On Sting being "lucky": "Sting who was one of the luckiest men who ever lived, Sting couldn't do a good interview, he couldn't work good. We had to drop him from the ceiling for a year and dress him like the crow and not let him say a word to get one big match out of him."

On TNA's financial woes: "They just made wrong decisions…from what I hear, Bob Carter…he had a hard time saying no to his daughter, Dixie…Finally, they blew so much money with no real results after ten years that Bob resigned and I think the mother took over and she is controlling the purse…From what I hear…this guy is now fired, this guy is now fired and if you wanna stay there you get a pay cut. Half the guys wrestling there are on food stamps. I was shocked when I heard that one."

Dont even need to read. Dude was managed by Paul Heyman at one point and still wasnt over. fukk him, his bald spot, his momma and his golf game :pacspit:

I can't point to one single solitary memorable moment in his career. I mean sure the feud with Bruno was money and resulted in Shea stadium being sold out. But that was 30 years ago. This dude has not done anything for 30+ years unlike Dusty, Flair, etc.

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
Goldberg as the next Bruno? :stopitslime:

"Larry Zbyszko didn't know who Roger Clemens was but did bring up Bronko Nagurski as a name everyone should have heard of."

some of those old timers like to talk just to talk, not even in a seeking publicity way or promoting anything just flinging mud just to do it. . it's kind of sad really, at least be interesting or something instead of sounding like a biter clueless old hack.

Sting couldn't do interviews? that's just wrong. . he could when he needed to. .. plus he didn't really need to say a whole lot he has/had natural charisma which you can't teach. shyt most of the faces didn't NEED to talk in that era with the Horsemen/nWo types talking people into the building to hopefully watch them get their asses kicked, all the faces needed to do was not die on ya, like him or not Sting has always been great at being sympathetic and not dying on the audience. not even speaking on Flair, let's pick almost any Sting v Muta match in the late 80's for starters, it invalidates the "one good/big match out of him" Muta didn't wrestle by himself out there and those matches were excellent, Rude, Vader, etc i'm guessing these cats all had great feuds with themselves.

I can at try least entertain the people who feel like he is "overrated" by some who feel him having had one year of being THE top draw is a mark against him, sure. . to say that dude was lucky yet he still keeps coming up in wrestlemania dream match scenarios in his mid 50's well past his in ring prime seems silly. If anything he was unlucky in a way, Sting in his prime in WWF with that marketing machine woulda been a license to print money, the look, charisma, athleticism, the face paint etc, he'd easily have been the Ultimate Warrior minus the being legit crazy but meh, it's fun to talk hypothetically

I'm embarrassed to admit I was a fan of Zbyszko's back when I was a stupid kid and I didn't know any better. Thought he was pretty entertaining as a whiny heel, but eventually I realized he wasn't acting.

His assessment of Sting is way off. It's gotta be jealousy.

Couldn't agree more with this.

One of the worst commentators ever. Always had to put himself over and talk about golf.

I used to get mad when he'd get those Larry chants at Nitro. :pachaha: Dude sucks.
