It isn't just him getting coaching jobs....it's how he has so much longevity with these teams. Fair enough with the other stuff, but him staying during the move isn't TOO surprising to me. He's a known name and he's born & raised in L.A. They've been playing that up to go along with the whole homecoming theme for the franchise.
