random cat showed up at my apartment...

its been about 2 weeks now

one night i was just sitting here watching a movie and its storming outside and i hear meowing. i opened the door and this soggy ass cat just walks into my crib like it lives here. we gave it some tuna fish and water and let it sleep in for the night. the next morning i let her out and she's gone...

3 days later i hear meowing again. opened the door, and its the same cat. ive let friends crash on my couch before so its no big deal, but i dont believe this cat is homeless. for one thing, she weighs a good 15 pounds, and is way too friendly. i think she lives with some old lady who might have memory problems or something. 3 other apartments in my building have little cat bowls outside with water so im guessing this cat just sleazes around the complex getting free eats.

anyways, it's been a couple weeks now and she comes and goes pretty much every day. sometimes when i come home she'll be outside my door waiting for me. i guess i have a cat now.

id say this cat is 3-4 years old. its well fed (nearly overweight) and very receptive to people. it comes over every day, even though we have a dog (the dog is terrified of the cat). it will just curl up on the couch next to me while i work on my laptop, like she's lived here for years.

If it’s overweight, it’s going around the neighborhood to eat, or has a home. Cats don’t get big like that on mice and birds.
