In Home Alone 2 - Marv was lowkey smarter than Harry and considered kids stupid.

He wanted to leave Kev alone in the park the first time before he told them their plans.

If they would've did that, they would've successfully robbed Mr. Duncan's Toy chest.

Also, why they waste mad energy chasing this kid instead of just doing their robbery duties and skipping town?
