Above the fray.

It would be easier for you to point out a confirmed case of a person floating in and out of consciousness/life...who pointed out things that went on while they were gone.

Things that they couldn't have just heard while floating in and out.

The story of a person's spirit hovering above their physical body has been repeated so often that I just don't buy it. That picture has become ingrained in people's minds and it forms parts of their dreams or hallucinations.
The same way that images/pictures of "hell" come from popular culture.

I read a spooky story one time. About this college guy who got knocked out in a fight. And while he was knocked out he lived like 20 years of his life in real time. Got married had kids and everything. Then one day he noticed something funny about his lampshade in his house and he stayed up for a day just staring at this lampshade. Then his world started breaking apart and he woke up on the pavement all bloodied. He was only out for like 20 seconds or something but his world he was living in while unconscious was moving at normal speed and he spent yards and years there.

That seems more plausible ..I believe in the drifting in and out as well...my thing is if more than one person is saying it has to hold some kinda truth to it..that the only reason I asked..cuz when I blacked out I couldn't remember anything bout how long I was out for etc...I also see what ur saying bout it being burned in ppls subconscious...

Damn..that's deep... Raises another question tho...what if life is dream and death is us waking up in our true dimensions... like we are in the 3rd dimension but when we die we wake up from the dream in like the 6th or 7th dimension:mindblown:

Life is a dream. We are living in the "flash" before death at some point in time (meaning...there IS a confirmed time of your death...we don't know when but we know it happens... right now at that point in time, you are witnessing all that you are doing now :yeshrug:)

exactly. I still :mjlol: at that kid who "died" and came back to life and wrote the book "Heaven is for real". He and his family (intentionally or not) hustled the world based on things that were put into that child's head from his parents and pop culture. When you die and your brain begins to be depleted of oxygen, hallucinations occur. The brain hallucinates to protect itself from freaking out (in not so scientific terms). That kid had all types of stories and images in his head and woke up and told about his hallucinations and everybody ate that shyt up when all he was doing was regurgitating millennia old tropes.

Also, the "light" that people see is because when you are dying your sense become a lot less "focused" and so sharp. So what was just normal room light becomes an overbearing ambient light because you can't differentiate between light sources.

i freak out about that sometimes. My conclusion is that the mind can play real cruel jokes on us if it starts getting dysfunctional or you have an accident where like it messes up part of the conscious side. Like you start hallucinating events that you want to happen or come alive and think it's your reality when you're really in a coma or sleeping. I read that when you're about to die, your brain activates the most pleasurable fantasy you can imagine (the white light) in order to make the body going through death more pleasant. Which explains why people say they saw God or heaven for a few minutes and they are brought back to life in the hospital. It's actually your brain getting you ready for death but a last minute miracle (modern medicine) resuscitated you.
