Random tidbit about Harvey Grant. I remember about 6 or 7 years or so ago when I was in college (ed's note: ) Harvey was coaching this semi-pro team and they had a game against the local semi-pro team that played home games at my school. I was there just playing some pickup ball and Harvey and the team came through for a shoot around before the game that night. I noticed Harvey was shooting around as well, and this muthafukka literally did not miss one shot for about 20 minutes. I was looking like , Harvey could shoot like that?
That just let me know how skilled NBA players are. Random journeymen like Harvey fukking Grant had the wettest J I could have ever witnessed.

I gave Greg Minor that work in a mens league about 8 years ago here in Orlando. Ya'll remember dude? I had no idea who dude was .. literally .. and he was like 'wanna use my ball?' ... I was like fukk you hoe .. we'll use the league ball ...

Then the ref came up .. saw the ball he had and said 'we'll use this one' .. when I copped a feel .. it had 'Property of Boston Celtics Basketball' on it. I was like

Then right before tip off .. everyone told me who dude was .. and all I could think of was 'oh ok .. I know who dude is, I just didnt know what he looked like .. but he a scrub ..'

My boy was like watch yo ass .. and I was like .. I got this.


I dropped 34 on him ... he dropped 44 on me. And this was 6 months after his ACL surgery when he had zero explosion. Dude was pulling (like dude before in this thread) said from 2 steps inside half court ... wet.

AND he was 6'8


fukk him. He aint dunk on me like Vince did tho.

Most disappointing recruit in Michigan basketball history. I STILL remember the hype about him. That was the same year Jason Richardson went to MSU. We know how that turned out between those two.

Yeah, borderline NBA players and NBA players are legit beast. Their problem is usually athletic ability compare to other great Basketball players. Everything is about inches at that level. Length, hands, vert, explosiveness, etc.

The young kids like Wiggins aren't as good skilled but they are so long, athletic, etc that they grow much faster and pass other guys up in a heartbeat.

Quincy Douby.

I was at the old Big East shootout finals, and Rutgers was practicing/warming up for the Big East tourney at the old basketball city, right where we were having our knockout round. After we shot for the chance to shoot in the finals at MSG - we started playing some pickup. The game was basically filled with pickup gym rats from each respective big east school... intramural all american types.

Quincy had been watching us shoot around, and providing commentary... Like this gem: "Ay Coach, this N*gga shoot like Quincy Douby! "

And eventually, when his practice wrapped, and players were gathering their gear to head the to bus... he was like "TAG ME IN" and jumped in the pickup run.

Now, let me tell you, I had walked on at school, so I knew what it was like to play against some d1 players, these guys... I guess they maybe weren't...


Because... this dude ...

...Was not a joke at all. Jumpers from 30+ wet, three straight possessions. Had these shootout contestants like .

Then he put one guy in the mixer at like midcourt, left him reaching for air and stumbling... and - I shyt you not - right after he shook my man up, his coached yelled for him, so he just stopped the ball dead in the middle of the court and jogged off, tagged himself back out.

I was dying. These kids were not ready. I'll still hit a three in my Y league games and yell "QUINCY DOUBY " just to see if anybody else even recognizes the name.


I got a bunch more, including a few female players giving grown men work...
