A lot of discord can be avoidable just from how we move and mind our own business.


Allow a shopper to get in front of me in the event we get to the check-out line at the same time. This also applies to driving.

Park a considerable distance from the store in the parking lot.
When random people in public try get you to engage in their nonsense about something, just keep it bland and generic with your responses (happened this morning)

Whenever the youngins approach hustling something, I respond with: "No thanks/Nah, I'm good.....but I appreciate it, though"

People looking for trouble are watching at all times, and you have to send out the energy that marks you as NOT the one.

As a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu I always remember to stay calm when someone having a bad day is trying to gas light me to destroy them with their inflammatory remarks.

When insulted I usually look with my stone cold face and ask, "is everything ok?". Gives me a chance to further gauge how insane this person is or at what level they're trying to irritate me..sometimes civilians are having a bad day and just need to blow off some steam so every rabid minded thought isn't a reason to destroy someone's physical frame to the last atomic molecule.

I also show respect as a default. People who disrespect respectful people are probably owed an ass whooping by someone and I would like that person to not be me. The techniques I've fortified would be devastating to unleash on someone whos just having a bad day and redirecting that energy in the wrong direction

I also train which tends to keep most people from bothering me since the grueling hours of training harden my appearance in a way that says to outsiders, let me bother someone else.

Lift weights/ stay in shape. Not a big dude but just in case. Most leave me be.
When driving, listen to jazz. Soothes me.
Stay hyper-vigilant to avoid fukkery.
Not my style nonetheless, but I rarely wear flashy/ high-priced clothing. Quality >>>.
Among my friend groups, I'm typically the quiet one with an occasional joke or two. Observant. Makes people wonder and reluctant to try to some degree.
