You know what's crazy? The Fix debuted at #4 on the charts and sold 160k. That's at number 4. Some people don't do number 1 like that these days. Crazy. It's like people bought 3-4 cds at a time back then

I won't lie, I havent really listened to Scarface outside of songs like Moms Praying, Guess Whos Back, My Block, Smile, etc

So if you old heads got some recommendations let me know

I know nikkas gon disagree with the order...but should at least be everyones top 4.
1)The Untouchable
2) The Diary
3) The Fix
4) Mr Scarface is Back

I'd probably put The World Is Yours at #5. That or Emeritus. That all got heavy play back in the day. Had the double disc My Homies as a lil jit...straight trunk music. Balls and My Word was one of them put together J Prince joints but there was still some bangers. That joint with The Product had a few. Made was one of the last CD's I ever bought. All the great Geto Boys classics. Face had a nice lil 30 year run.

Some of you nikkas is really sleeping on and underrating Mr. Scarface Is Back :hhh:

Who raised you nikkas?

The first time we saw this shyt on Yo! MTV Raps:damn:

First time you saw the album cover in the sto:damn:

First time you heard the beat on Mr. Scarface Is Back and my area breakin that record and makin it one of the most requested songs back then:damn:

The storytelling and video on A Minute To Pray....:damn:

The cadence, imagery, fire on Born Killer:damn:

When you find out this nikka is dead at the end of the album:damn:

Album STILL gets talked about and mentioned in circles offline from those who actually remember.

shyt will ALWAYS be ranked no. 1

From the beats, the content, lyrics, flow, voice, energy, sequencing of songs, all that shyt.

From a different Face thread:

I heard a (*shot*) Now what the fukk? Somebody shot at me
I took a look, the girl was cooked, her head exploded
Reached for the Uzi at my foot, and I unloaded
Straight out the window I could hear the soldiers' footsteps
I'm a taker, not a faker, I ain't been took yet
So many hunters, dyin faces to the concrete
Although you try to take me out, you die in one beat
Of the heart, boy, how dare you suck on me?
And I'mma teach you and your boys not to fukk with me
Rolled out the backdoor, lookin for his bossman
I'll watch him bleedin, pour his blood in a saucepan
He's in his Cadillac, starin at my frontdoor
I stood behind him, pulled my gun, said, "What you front for?"
He says, "I'm sorry, Ak, don't kill me, I was jokin, griff"
That's why your boys are on my balcony and they're frozen stiff
The boy was shocked, then pulled up cops, he looked at me said, "You're a goner
Cause you shot and killed the boys who worked my corner"
Pulled back the hammer, put my gun up almost point blank
Shattered his dome, reached in the pocket, took the boy's bank
Got out the Cadillac, the copper, he said, "Stop it, freeze!"
I aim my pistol for his stomach, instead I pop his knees
Fell to the floor, he looked at me and he said, "Akshun, please!"
I put my gun between his eyes, said, "Don't breathe"
He took a breath, and he knew he'd breathe his last breath
That's 20 soldiers and copper, 21 shot to death
I had to leave everything I'd ever worked for
But best believe, I won't get sentenced for a drug war
But maybe one day in the future I can come back
But until then, I'm goin home, where I'm from, black
Nobody knows my name, they'll only know this face
And ask my posse, they say, "We call him Scarface"

Everywhere...You never there.
Interesting to see how low most people have Untouchable on their lists. I would say it’s arguably his best body of work. Here’s my top 5 in order

5 The World Is Yours
4 Last Of A Dying Breed
3 Deeply Rooted
2 The Diary
1 Untouchable

I definitely agree with Last of a Dying Breed cracking the top 5. Seems many of y’all don’t really appreciate the gems on that album.

"Felt kinda strange I was throw'd off, the last bytch got her head blow'd off":russ::russ::laff:

STILL to this day one his coldest lines he ever delivered...

The continuation of this shyt on his solo introducing the world via the radio/KMEL was :blessed:

Like, first day copp shyt. I was checkin for that entire album before any videos had even dropped just off the strength of the constant radio play of Mr. Scarface Is Back. Crazy how much play it got back then and how they edit the shyt outta it.

Imagine them playin that muthafukka in today's radio playlist, just cuzz, the intro jingle alone on some throwback shyt..
