Yeah I think Gen X has been thoroughly traumatized by their parents.Society will improve when Gen X passes Baby Boomer's overall influence. Unfortunately, we will have to just wait for eventual death not any type of takeover.

As a member I would have to disagree. We may be more cynical but that lends to be followers by what's popular and universal healthcare, money out of politics more comfortable with diversity are popular among our generation. Those opposed will be quiet and follow moreso than the Boomer generation.Gen-X is just as self centered as their boomer parents/older siblings. They generally believe in the same narratives regarding success.
I don't think it works that way but nothing wrong with hoping. loli actually hope the power vacuum skips gen x and goes to millennials, yall can sit this one out like everything else...except culture, yall did give us great music in the 90's/00's
it actually can, plenty of gen x folks opted to be IC's instead of managers, gen y can skip ahead in the workplace, if gen x doesn't stack the bench with politicians ready to take over key leadership roles, millennials will, we outnumber yall so when it comes to voting, it's just a matter of participation which should go up next cycle as millenials will be ~29-45. i just haven't seen that desire to lead from gen x...I don't think it works that way but nothing wrong with hoping. lol
The data presented by the TS shows Gen X has a stronger foot hold in economic and political power. And culturally we control the media (the narrative) even now by a large margin. I think Gen X is positioned well for the most influence when Boomers die off.it actually can, plenty of gen x folks opted to be IC's instead of managers, gen y can skip ahead in the workplace, if gen x doesn't stack the bench with politicians ready to take over key leadership roles, millennials will, we outnumber yall so when it comes to voting, it's just a matter of participation which should go up next cycle as millenials will be ~29-45. i just haven't seen that desire to lead from gen x...
I hope so Gen X has done much so it makes sense they get skipped again.it actually can, plenty of gen x folks opted to be IC's instead of managers, gen y can skip ahead in the workplace, if gen x doesn't stack the bench with politicians ready to take over key leadership roles, millennials will, we outnumber yall so when it comes to voting, it's just a matter of participation which should go up next cycle as millenials will be ~29-45. i just haven't seen that desire to lead from gen x...

I don't think so, Gen X is actually pretty disillusioned/rejecting of the older generations and has generally shifted more and more progressive since the late 1990s.Gen-X is just as self centered as their boomer parents/older siblings. They generally believe in the same narratives regarding success.
Agreed, I think they've really followed the trends as millennials have taken the narrative from baby boomers. As a member I would have to disagree. I agree this will likely happen. Not that it would be a bad thing if Gen X had more power, I just see it skipping a generation in real time already.i actually hope the power vacuum skips gen x and goes to millennials, yall can sit this one out like everything else...except culture, yall did give us great music in the 90's/00's
