Word. Nobody wanna be a fan anymore. Everybody thinks they deserve to be a part of the show. Everybody a rapper now. Social media has everybody thinking that they are influential & involved. Whatever happened to the true blue fans. Like I’ve always been & can say it proudly. These clowns come out of the woodworks straight up out of pocket.

People been critiquing rap albums since the 80s. They were creating entire charts based on lyrics/metaphors/delivery/etc and rating shyt 1-10 lol. Let's be real. And even if we skip to the 90s or 00s the same arguments were going on, just in different ways. We get into beat selection or "all he raps about is bragging about stuff" or whatever else.
My issue with Ransom is that he sounds like an English major reading lyrics moreso than rapping. He has zero swag, his delivery is way too formal, and can't write a hook to save his life. And if I'm gonna listen to pure lyrical miracle shyt I want some curveballs thrown in there. Including beats that aren't just loops.

I get what he’s saying but you can be dope and make a project with no cohesiveness.
The streaming era with songs individually entering the charts has made projects less cohesive so it’s an argument you’re going to get from the people who listen straight through and don’t chop and pick what they want off projects.

I’m at the point now that I don’t get all into the fukkin analytics of Rappers/rap music lol I just listen to albums and if it’s a song or multiple songs on the album that I like, I add it to my playlist, thats it.
Yeah all those numbers don't really mean anything to me either.
