Just go on wshh to see what we have to deal with then on rap blogs, datpiff, live mixtapes, clubs etc...its like the NBA from 2005 to 2009. They are too many rookies.

We need jay, puff, kanye, nas, cam (old cam), Dblock ( together only), etc to make some noise.....my love for hip hop is dying because the heavy weight are nowhere to be found. Kanye dont do interviews. the weeknd dont do interviews, frank ocean. WTF :heh:

Its not the same having light weight dudes lead hip hop.

nikka, there are new heavy weights in the making, get over it. Hip hop is sadly a youth oriented genre, doesn't mean you can't make great music as you age, but to think those are the only people who can make moves is playing yourself

Na rap is boring nowadays because its less about the music and more about bullshyt that shouldn't even matter. Back then fans didn't check soundscan the first week, fans didn't care about who was sleeping with who, we didn't care about reality shows. Nowdays its about everything else except the music. And its soo much filteration and trash out here. A rappers mystique used to be the main attraction for the fans. Fans used to check for the music to find out more about the rappers. But nowadays with soo much information on the internet and television that mystique is no longer available. So rappers need to focus more on making music and less on all that other shyt.

People subconsciously want an A-lister MC from NY to be on top of the game again, like the old days. Problem is, most rappers these days like to make money and fukk bytches than to make legendary music.

The problem is that today only the indie market can officially put out traditional new york hip hop music. I don't want to hear a full album from any of these dudes rapping over a bunch of cheesy fruity loop trap beats with nursery school hooks. We were lucky to get an official Nas album on 2012. This game is rigged.
