Black people in response co-opt the word to use as intra-racial currency, and morph it so it denotes comradarie, and and ironic sense of brother hood and shared experience, as a strategy to minimize the terror inflicted. So now white people, true to their entitled we do what we want nature, are offended because we have culturally quarantined them from a word they invested centuries in, for the explicit purpose of mentally abusing us? our grandparents and great grandparents did not have power over the word we do and this makes whites mad. I always question any white person that wants to use the word.
