I never really seen the hype. Some people talking like he was some misunderstood musical genius but the music didn't really add up to that.
There was maybe the makings of something kinda interesting with a lot more polishing but there wasn't really anything he excelled at.
Comparing him to that generation of post-Kanye style artists he never really figured it out. He wasn't lyrical like a Lupe, wasn't especially marketable or had a hitmaking ability like a Drake, didn't have a very definable aesthetic like Cudi (that Sonic shyt was

obviously he works, he hasnt just been sitting in a park for 30 something years
getting punched meant nothing, it was a cop out where nobody was gonna support him anyways
none of them samples getting cleared off rip, and you cant just make money off mixtapes that you cant load up
50, wayne etc all have parallel trouble where you want to listen to their mixtapes more than actual album releases... if you added mixtape spins to sales, all these artists would be 4x as big
charles will always have these problems and ups and downs, its not really a matter of his control due to all the circumstances that prevent him from living a normal life
if he made millions off music he would have fukked it off and it probably would have killed him too, he needs a trustworthy manager and person to handle his extra bread.... keep it in a high yield savings account or IRA and then only use it for emergency when he crashes out. Let him keep the other money to do drugs and make music etc.
