A 37-year-old man was critically injured when he was riddled with bullets during an argument over a rap video shoot in the Bronx early Saturday, witnesses said.
Around 30 people were filming a low-budget video on Webster Ave. near E. 170 St. around 1:15 a.m. when two of the men began quarreling, said Ali Abdul, 41, who owns a deli on the block.
The fight then spilled into Abdul’s business.
“They were fighting over who’s the star, who’s better,” said Abdul. “They were drunk. They spit at each other then one guy pulled out a gun and shot the other guy five times.”
Police said the victim was grazed in the head and shot once in the chest and each leg.
The enraged shooter then pistol whipped the severely wounded man as he lay bleeding on the floor of the deli, Abdul said.
The clerk said he recognized both men from the neighborhood and they had always appeared to be “best friends.”
Emergency responders rushed the man to Lincoln Medical Center where he is listed in critical condition, officials said. He is expected to survive.
