Wale when he first came out was a backpacker. nikka had nice wordplay and he had skills. Ever since he signed with Ross it's been a slow decline as far as music and actual ability. 07-10 nikka was nice, ever since he's been ass for the majority imo. I don't know he just comes across as corny as hell now. He has quality past projects(100 miles and running, Mixtape about nothing, More about nothing etc...)
But even then if we talking technical skills the nikka can still black on occasion when he want to.

I don't hate Wale but he isn't my cup of tea. Though I like a few songs from him the only project I was really feelin was that Back To The Feature jawn. Still wish him success nontheless

Wale was that kid in school who no one had any real beef with but everyone would just fukk with him because it was so easy to get a reaction out of him.
Thats why rappers (and everyone else) hate on him. All you have to do is say some disrespectful shyt to him on Twitter and he's on the radio crying about it.
He's so emotionally fragile its hilarious
NEVERMIND the fact that he (and this is the same issue I have with J. Cole. Although I fukk with J. Cole somewhat) is that his music is so fukking bland. He's bringing absolutely nothing new to the table. Sure his lyricism is alright, but wordy rappers without mic presence are a dime a dozen. If lyricism was all I looked for in rap music I'd just forego the music entirely and read fukking poetry.
